About the Repository of Tools
Vaccines are the only scientifically proven method to protect everyone from the consequences of serious or life-threatening diseases and to interrupt the chain of transmission. It is therefore crucial to ensure worldwide equitable vaccination coverage in both indigenous and migrant populations in order to reduce and prevent the presence of under-immunised groups. In this perspective, the public health system and other actors involved in the issue play an important role in improving both health and its social determinants for migrants, both recent arrivals and long-term stay.
It therefore seems strategic to strengthen the skills and tools available to all professionals for health who in their work can promote immunization and equitable access to services for migrants. The repository of tools available here aims precisely to support professionals in their daily practice and provide them with tools that can help to successfully address the barriers they face.
